MISLS - Camp Savage as a student, lived in temporary barracks with separate building for showers and latrines. Ate regular army food in mess hall. MISLS - As an instructor, lived in Minneapolis sharing house with two other couples. In Monterey - lived with family in a house on the post. In Tokyo - lived with family in housing built for dependents.
Most important thing, personally, to come from military experience?
Learned a lot about my cultural heritage during occupation duties in Japan. Made many friends both among occupation personnel and Japanese government people.

Residence: Medford Leas, NJ. Interned at Topaz camp in Utah. Enjoyed a long career at Mikasa, in New York.
