Yukikazu Nagashima


Nasceu na cidade de Chiba e se formou na Universidade Waseda. Em 1979, mudou-se para os EUA. Trabalhou no California Daily Newspaper e juntou-se à equipe editorial japonesa do The Rafu Shimpo em 1984. Em 1991, tornou-se editor do departamento japonês. Deixou a empresa em agosto de 2007. Em setembro do mesmo ano, recebeu prêmio do Consulado-Geral do Japão em Los Angeles. Ele publicou uma série de artigos intitulada “Perfil da História Contemporânea Nikkei” na TV Fan apresentando os japoneses e os nikkei na América. Atualmente ele trabalha como editor da “J-Town Guide Little Tokyo”, uma revista comunitária em inglês que apresenta Little Tokyo.

The Japanese American National Museum will host a tanabata ornament-making workshop on June 20, 2009.
