I am a first-generation Chinese American; my parents came over from mainland China via Taiwan. I was born in Honolulu but I now call Los Angeles home. I work at the Japanese American National Museum as a writer/editor in the Communications Department. I also write about art for a variety of publications, including Art21 Magazine and Palm Springs Life.
