Witnessed the American Flag raising ceremony at the American Embassy in Tokyo on the 7th of September 1945.

1.Assigned to unit providing security to the Japanese surrender delegation that arrived in Manila on Aug. 1945.
2. Oversaw the removal of Japanese office equipment, files and personnel from the NYK Building, Tokyo 8 Sept - 16 Sept. 1945.
3. Assigned to building custodians office, Dai-Ichi Bldg (GHQ), Tokyo from 17 Sept to 27 Sept 1945.
4. As interpreter for Gen. MacArthur's personal staff, was stationed at the American Embassy, Tokyo, Gen. MacArthur's residence, from Sept. 1945 to May 1951. Also assigned as the personal staff interpreter at the residence of Gen. M.B. Ridgway, Gen. M.W. Clark, Gen. John Hull and Gen. Lyman Lemnitzer
5. Was a member of Gen. MacArthur's Honor Guard Company from 1947 to 1951

Retired from military service on 30 June 1964.
