My family.
Most important thing, personally, to come from military experience?
I believe I grew up in a hurry. Coming from Gallup, New Mexico, where Japanese population was possibly 75 (12 families and bachelors) to be placed in the 442nd was indeed a marvel to me, being one of the thousands of Japanese soldiers. What I learned was when there was nobody to turn to, I had God to turn to because my parents brought me up in the Christian Faith. This faith really kept me going.
