Slept in sandbag bunkers. Bathed whenever possible but not very often due to water shortage 'on-line'. Meals basically C-rations (canned food). Very little entertainment.

Sleep without interruption for more than 4 hours at a time. Good food.
Most important thing, personally, to come from military experience?
To have survived the war.
