Most vivid memory of military experience
1) Our commanding officer, Major Fish, waving comfirmation documents of enemy ship sinkings resulting, in part, from our deciphering and translations.

2) The agony of sea-sickness.

Missed most whilst in the military
My girl friend, now my wife of 53 years.
Most important thing, personally, to come from military experience?
The satisfaction of serving our country in time of need, and the subsequent opportunity to earn a college degree as a result of my military service, which qualified me for the GI Bill.
