I took this photograph today of this Japanese doll. Apparently, it used to be part of my paternal grandmother's set. When she died, the dolls were separated and given to different people in the family. I don't know how many there are total.

The doll is of a Japanese woman dressed in a kimono with a hat standing under a tree. I think it's a sakura tree. It looks like she originally held something, but whatever it was is now missing.

The doll comes in a glass display case, but I took it out to photograph. I wish i knew how old it is, but I would guess to be 30 or more years old.
