2004年のチリ日本人会発足50年記念の日本祭りの夕食会のメニューであったすき焼きは1,000人分を一度に調理するという大事業であったため、婦人会メンバーが特別に創作した。大晩餐会には不向きと反対も多かったが、試作を重ね、何度もリハーサルをし大成功に収めた。
