This photo is of my maternal grandmother's family. Included are her parents and her eight siblings (she was the oldest). All of the children were born and raised in Southern California in the early part of the 1900s.

It's hard to see in this photo, but in the bottom right-hand corner, it says "SHIRAFUJI Studio LA".

Also, if you look really closely at the boy in front of my great-grandfather, you can see that both of his shoes have holes in the front of them so that you can see his socks poking out. I guess such was the fate of the younger children...you get all of the hand-me-downs.
