In a letter written to a fellow WW II Army linguist (non-Japanese), just after the 50th anniversary of the MIS/DLI, and prior to his death, our father made the following comment: 'Time has proven that the path chosen by our parents (Issei) and our Nisei contemporarys was absolutely correct. I feel most comfortable about the way things turned out.'
