Residence: Colorado Springs, CO. He spent his youth in Hawaii, joining the Air Force after graduating from Kaimuki High School. He served 9 years in the Air Force as a medic, having been deployed to Germany in support of the Gulf War, Desert Storm. Upon discharge from the Air Force, he completed undergraduate studies at California State University, San Bernardino and was then accepted into the School of Optometry at the Ohio State University, Columbus, OH and graduated in 2000.
