Most vivid memory of military experience
Having a special pass to see my sister in Japan. When leaving to see my sister in Japan, upon my return, the ship had sailed for Korea. I was reported AWOL for over 30 days!!
Missed most whilst in the military
Japanese food and mail from the states when overseas.
Most important thing, personally, to come from military experience?
Discipline.

Not all military experiences are for everyone. Most wars are for economic and political gains.
