Most vivid memory of military experience
Helped train K-9's (war dogs) using POW's in Assam. (They were volunteers originally part of group captured by Sgt Kenny Yasui in Burma.) Interrogation of recalcitrant POW's held in Burma, India and of Zero pilot shot down in Burma.
Missed most whilst in the military
Family and friends.
Most important thing, personally, to come from military experience?
In retrospect, having been a part of the greatest experience in my life and surviving 2 1/2 years overseas. But returning fully cognizant of the greater and awesome sacrifices made by our brothers in the 100th and 442nd.
