 This 3 pages, handwritten letter to Francis Biddle, US Attorney General, Washington, DC is from the recently widowed wife of Hiroshi Okamura, who died June 8, of a injury sustained on an Amache work project the day before. In her letter, Dorothy Yoshiko (Kato) Okamura describes her tragic situation, mother of two and expecting a third "in a couple of months." Baby Carol Hiroko was born July 5th.
