Kanemitsu's Bakery & Coffee Shop

Located on the main street in Kaunakakai (often simply called "town"), Kanemitsu's Bakery is the place to go for Moloka'i sweet bread and other freshly baked goodies. This is the retail bakery, which also has a popular coffee shop.

Since it's this commercial bakery that supplies the retail bakery, they only open late at night. Making a "hot bread" run is one of the most popular (in fact, one of the only) night life activities on Moloka'i. No trip to Moloka'i is complete without it!

Moloka'i Hot Bread menu

The hot bread place is behind the retail bakery, down a dimly-lit alley with no signs. It's well worth the trek though, just to get a whiff and tear into a loaf of piping hot bread.
