移民を授業する －日系アメリカ人学習活動の手引き－ 現代は，「移民の時代」とも呼ばれています。国連人口部によれば，世界中で国境を越えて移動する人々は，2005年には1 億9,100万人に達し，地球上で自国以外に住んでいると推計される人口は世界の人口の30人に1人の割合になってきています。このようなグローバルな人の移動の増大は，一方で一国内の多民族化・多文化化を生み出しています。 このような移民の加速化の動きは，日本においても顕著になってきています。2005年末の我が国の外国人登録者数は約201万人となり，初めて200万人を突破し，総人口の1.57％に達しています。一方，逆の視点から見ると，日本もつい半世紀前までは移民の送り出し国でした。日本は，開国早々の百数十年前，ハワイや北米に多くの移民を送りました。その後も，中南米，東南アジア，中国大陸等へと多くの日本人が移住しました。戦後も ... |
