Color silent amateur films by Dave Tatsuno (1913-2006), a businessman in the San Francisco Bay area. Composed largely of home movie clips, taken 1942-1945, of the environment the Japanese Americans lived in during World War II in forced exclusion at the Topaz concentration camp near Delta, Utah.

This segment (00:42) documents the birth of Dave and Alice Tatsuno's first daughter, Arlene, on September 18, 1944; the Topaz camp logo (the so-called "Topaz Tree"); a calendar page with the date September 18th, 1944 circled; the front page of the Salt Lake Tribune, "1st Air Army Lands in Holland"; Thomas Dewey on the cover of the September 18th, 1944 issue of Life magazine; a clock dial with the day "Monday"; a birth announcement with a stork carrying a baby; a handmade sign, "Announcing the Debut of Arlene Tamie Tatsuno".
