Judy Hisako Terao Uyema

My middle name, Hisako, is based on my fraternal grandfather's name, Hisayo who lived in Hiroshima. My cousin, Dennis Shoei Terao is also based on the Hisayo kanji. It depends on how you read the kanji. It may be read as Sho, Hisa, or Nao.

My maiden last name, Terao, means "behind the temple" and ironically, my uncle and father were Buddhist ministers.
