Ana María Díaz Collazos es una lingüista interesada en la relación entre lengua y sociedad. Estudia la historia y evolución del español en relación con los cambios sociales. También le gusta explorar el problema del uso del idioma en comunidades bilingües. Tiene una Maestría en Lingüística Española del Instituto Caro y Cuervo. Es candidata a doctorado en Lingüística Hispánica de la Universidad de Florida. En su tiempo libre, escribe novelas cortas para niños y ha publicado libros.
