Informação

From 1947 to 1951, when I was in junior high school (Powell), my family lived at the Heart Mountain Camp, which was then under the control of the Bureau of Reclamation.

My brother, Jim, and I are researching the camp, its infrastructure, design, attributes, characteritics, operation and maintenance; in short, its daily rhythms and life.

Hopefully, we can 'rebuild' the camp, as it was when it was a functioning facility. We know a lot about who built it, how it was built, what went into its construction, what it took to run the place (power, water, sewage, food, medical support....) but have a long was to go.

We would be interested in hearing from anybody having any information, pictures, drawings, family anecdotes, that would help define daily life. We search for the little stuff, that defined the life there. Please email blarneycastlesaloon@gmail.com.

Thank you.
