...From Santa Cruz, CA. So: very interested in shoyu and food in the Japanese diaspora, especially cookbooks. And hand plane surfing. And practicing Português. And Okinawa, I'm a member of research team at UC Santa Cruz (working with Japan historian Alan Christy) investigating 1952-1972 beginning with a series of images made by an Army dentist in 1953 with a small but intrepid group of student researchers.
