Henry Sugimoto, "Untitled (Arkansas Camp B)"

This painting reminds one of Sugimoto's earlier works, which focused primarily on the landscape, with people having little detail. The prominent man in this painting, however, does have a bit of detail. His orientation is clear, as is the items he carries. It seems like Sugimoto wanted to represent what a cold winter would have been like in Arkansas, with most people indoors, and the few outdoors bundled up.
