Henry Sugimoto, "Notre Dame Cathedral"

After attending art school in the United States, Sugimoto traveled to France, where he hoped to learn more about art, and be inspired to create masterpieces. He did indeed mature artistically, and this painting is one of many that are proof of his success. One should notice that Sugimoto's early works center on landscapes, with people merely as accessories to the grand art piece.
