Mia Russell
Mia Russell is the Executive Assistant at JANM, and also manages the Japanese American Confinement Sites Consortium. Previously, she was Executive Director of Friends of Minidoka, the Idaho-based nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the Minidoka incarceration site. Russell earned a B.A. in the humanities from Soka University of America and an M.A. in Applied Historical Research from Boise State University. For her graduate thesis, she developed Minidoka NHS, a walking tour mobile app for Minidoka National Historic Site. She is a co-author of Minidoka National Historic Site (Images of America).

Norman Y. Mineta, Board of Trustees Chair at the Japanese American National Museum (JANM), was a fount of inspiration for the younger generation.
