Come join Mililani Hongwanji in celebration of its 2018 obon festival! Participate in the Japanese tradition of obon, a time to honor, remember, and celebrate our loved ones and ancestors who have passed. Enjoy a unique blend of Japanese, Hawaiian, and American cultures found only on the islands! Bon dance practice will be held on July 26 and August 2, 9, 13, 14 at 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Mililani Hongwanji Mission is one of thirty-six temples of Honpa Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii. Honpa Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii (Hawaii Kyodan) is a religious organization belonging to the Jodo Shinsu Sect of Mahayana Buddhism. Hawaii Kyodan follows the Teaching of Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji (True Essence of Pure Land Buddhist Teaching) whose founder is Shinran Shonin.
