Gidra - Community Newspaper
The first two or three issues were published at Campbell Hall at UCLA. And then after that we decided we were going to take this off campus, it’ll be a community newspaper. And although we all considered ourselves part of the Asian American movement, in LA at that time, in this part of town, was mostly Japanese American and so it was heavily influenced and dominated by Japanese Americans. So when we talked about going to the community, going to the neighborhood, this was one of the you know, the first places, because several of us came from this area.
