Part 3 of Dr. Troy Kaji's keynote presentation at the Discover Nikkei event, "Japanese Hospital: Caring for the Pre-war Nikkei Community" at Japanese American National Museum, Tateuchi Democracy Forum on Saturday, April 11, 2010. In this section, Dr. Kaji presents about discriminatory laws impacting Japanese immigrants and their efforts to overcome, lack of support for Issei community in Japan, the denial of efforts to establish a new Japanese hospital by Dr. Tashiro and other Issei doctors to incorporate, and the U.S. Supreme Court case, Jordan v. Tashiro, in which attorney J. Marion Wright represented the Issei doctors.
