Henry Sugimoto, "Working on Farm"

This painting is part of Sugimoto's Japanese Immigration History Series. It shows Issei farmers on an apricot farm, some picking, some transporting, all working diligently. Like most of Sugimoto's other works about Issei, this painting was completed many years after the war.
