 miss the art of letter writing? Would you like to have the opportunity to 
 write a letter to the future of Little Tokyo or to a future stakeholder of
  this community?\n\nGather with us in a relaxed atmosphere on JANM Plaza e
 ach Thursday of August to share tea\, conversation\, and write letters&mda
 sh\;with plenty of prompts provided by&nbsp\;<strong>traci kato-kiriyama</
 strong>\, Little Tokyo +LAB Artist-in-Residence.\n\nArtist and tea enthusi
 ast&nbsp\;<strong>Linda Wei</strong>&nbsp\;will be helping to serve tea an
 d conversation prompts.\n\nSound-based ethnographer and artist&nbsp\;<stro
 ng>Umi Hsu</strong>&nbsp\;will be present for field recordings of the sess
 ions and of those who would like to read aloud some of what they write&mda
 sh\;on their hopes and dreams for the future of Little Tokyo\; the future 
 of how we define &ldquo\;home\,&rdquo\; &ldquo\;community&rdquo\; and &ldq
 uo\;solidarity&rdquo\;\; and for the future of how we practice what it mea
 ns to be a &ldquo\;good friend&rdquo\; and a &ldquo\;good neighbor.&rdquo\
 ;\n\nAll ages welcome to show up\, drink some tea\, and write some letters
  (participants can follow prompts or write on their own).\n\n(Tea and pape
 r/cards/stamps will be provided\, free of charge. Feel free to bring a sma
 ll snack to share!)\n\n<em>+LAB is a bold initiative that allows Little To
 kyo Service Center to join forces with artists and cultural institutions t
 o find imaginative ways to empower the Little Tokyo community. A project o
 f the Little Tokyo Service Center\, in partnership with the Japanese Ameri
 can National Museum\, Visual Communications\, Japanese American Community
