Roger Shimomura has had over 100 solo exhibitions of his paintings and prints, as well as presented his experimental theater pieces at such venues as the Franklin Furance, New York City, Walker Art Center, Minneapolis and the Smithsonian Institution.

He is the recipient of over 30 grants, including four National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships in Paiinting and Performance Art. Roger Shimomura has been a visiting artist and llctured on his work at over 200 universities, art schools, and museums across the United States.
