Ela lecionou na escola por 13 anos e teve um negócio de vitrais por mais de três décadas, do qual está semi-aposentada. Ela é aquarela e escreveu uma autobiografia criativa “Gasa Gasa Girl Goes to Camp: A Nisei Youth Behind a World War Fence”, que será publicada pela University of Utah Press na primavera de 2014.
