DESCRIPTION:In this intergenerational reading\, Sansei poet and editor\, Br
 ian Komei  Dempster\, will discuss his community-based writing projects an
 d  anthologies\, in which Japanese Americans&amp;mdash\;mostly Nisei&amp;mdash\;te
 ll their stories  of wartime incarceration and post-war resettlement. Demp
 ster will also  read poems from his debut collection\,&amp;nbsp\;&lt;em&gt;Topaz&lt;/em
 &gt; \, which looks at the legacy of the camp experience and its impact on yo
 unger generations.  \n \n Joining Dempster is project participant Toru Sai
 to\, along with prominent  Nisei writer\, Wakako Yamauchi\, whose granddau
 ghter Alyctra Matsushita\,  will read excerpts from Yamauchi&amp;rsquo\;s dazz
 ling story collection\,&amp;nbsp\;&lt;em&gt;Rosebud&lt;/em&gt; &amp;nbsp\;(University of Hawai
