 embrance marks President Roosevelt's signing of Executive Order 9066 on Fe
 bruary 19\, 1942\, which authorized the unconstitutional forced removal of
  120\,000 Japanese Americans from the West Coast and Hawai'i during World 
 War II.\n\nDuring World War II\, Fred Korematsu challenged the constitutio
 nality of the incarceration Japanese Americans in a landmark civil rights 
 case known as Korematsu v. United States. He lost and was sent to Topaz co
 ncentration camp. In the 1980s a team of lawyers attempted to get his conv
 iction overturned. The 2010 Day of Remembrance will explore this case and
