Michael Omi, Ph.D.,   Professor of Asian American Studies in  UC Berkeley’s Ethnic Studies Department, will speak on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Sunnyvale Public Library about the backstory of racial politics leading to the moving of Japanese Americans living on the West Coast to internment camps during WWII. 

This programs is supported by Searching for Democracy, an initiative of Cal Humanities in partnership with the California Center for the Book and the California State Library.
