I'm a Nisei on my mother's side and white on my father's side. I've spent most of my life in the US, but a couple of years in Japan.

I am an independent scholar and have a BA in women's history and a MA in history with a focus on Japanese-American history as well as a Public History certificate with a focus on writing for the public. My research interests are Japanese American mixed race and disability history. I am writing two children's books about disabled children in the incarceration camps.
