The missionary bus picked up children from all over Gardena Valley. Rev. Wada organized a new Sunday School program with the help of Mrs. Takeno. Mrs. Takeno was the Sunday school superintendent. 

Harold Kobata recalls riding the old sunday school bus that went to the surrounding communities to pick up the children that lived in the farming areas.  He enjoyed riding the bus to Torrance, Hawthorne, Lawndale, and around Gardena valley.
