This image was taken at the plaza in front of the Liberdade Metro station. As a home to the Nikkei community, it's not hard to spot Japanese Brazilians meeting up with their friends in Liberdade. The visible magazine title in the book stand reads "Japan." It is a magazine for the Nikkei community. (photo taken on Feb. 1, 2008)
