Mikawaya

This is one of the stores that have been at this location for quite a while now. Mikawaya sells manju and other Japanese sweets. They're also really busy on hot days because they have shaved ice.

One of my cousins has worked at Mikawaya for a long time now. I try and stop in and say 'hi' sometimes. She didn't work there at the time we would visit my Oba-chan, but in the last decade or so, I've visited quite a bit.

I'm not a huge fan of manju, but there's something very comforting about it. Maybe I just take it for granted because I have such easy access to it. =)
