The Venice Japanese Community Center held their annual Obon Festival, helping bring the entire community together. There was a huge selection of good food, games, exhibits, and entertainment!

TanabataSlowly becoming a more popular holiday in the community, Tanabata decorations were found around the obon such as this particular one. |
Make a Wish!In the middle of the odori circle, people were able to write a wish on a small piece of paper (tanzaku) and attach it to the tree. Hopefully all of their wishes come true!

Venice Jr. YBAVenice Jr. Young Buddhist Association made their delicious dango that come in three different flavors: sugar, cinnamon sugar, and plain. |
