San Jose Buddhist Church 25th anniversary celebration, California, September 4, 1927

The San Jose Buddhist Church was established in 1902. In 1907, the church's Japanese language school was established. Seventeen years later, in 1924, the San Jose Sunday School was formed.

To commemorate San Jose Buddhist Church's 25th Anniversary celebration, someone proposed the purchase of the property north of the Church and the construction of the YMBA gym.
