ガン・マツダは、ブログ編集者、広報担当、およびロサンゼルスを拠点とするマンザナー委員会のマンザナー・アット・ダスク・プログラムのコーディネーターを務めています。同委員会は、1969 年以来毎年マンザナー巡礼を後援しています。マツダは、1980 年代半ばにカリフォルニア大学ロサンゼルス校で UCLA 日系学生組合のメンバーとして地域活動家としてのキャリアをスタートしました。マツダは、余暇にはフリーランス ライターとしてロサンゼルス キングスやナショナル ホッケー リーグを取材しており、2009 年にプロ ホッケー ライター協会の会員になりました。
