(Herbert Hideyo Inouye)
ハーバート・ヒデヨ・イノウエは、1928年11月14日、コロラド州ラハラに生まれました。1939年、母親の病状により、家族はカリフォルニア州ロサンゼルスに引っ越しましたが、戦争が勃発したため、1942年2月にコロラドに自主避難しました。イノウエは1950年にコロラド大学を卒業し、米軍の一員として韓国で勤務しました。1991年、大手エンジニアリング/建設会社に31年間勤めた後、退職しました。イノウエは1953年にドロシー・ナツコ（ヤナル）と結婚し、5人の子供と5人の孫がいます。

Friends and family have asked me to chronicle my life experiences during World War II.
