DESCRIPTION:Kodomo no Hi is going virtual this year! Kodomo no Hi\, also kn
 own as Children&rsquo\;s Day Festival\, and hosted by the Japanese Cultura
 l &amp\; Community Center of Washington\, is an annual event that encourag
 es children and families to explore and learn about Japanese and Japanese 
 American art\, culture\, history\, food and music. The event is free and o
 pen to the public. We hope you can join us from the safety of your home at
  our &ldquo\;Virtual Kodomo no Hi\, &rdquo\; which will include a new vide
 o every Sunday at noon (PDT) during the month of May\, Japanese cultural b
 ooklets\, and an activity pack that are free to download!\n\nThe new kid-f
 riendly\, educational videos will be available on the <a href="https://www
 .youtube.com/user/JCCCWA/">JCCCW&rsquo\;s YouTube Channel</a>. Viewers can
  learn about Japanese and Japanese American history and culture including 
 Sumo wrestling\, Japanese language through Onomatopoeia\, soramimi (mishea
 ring) and Japanese slang\, as well as Nikkei history.\n\nAs a part of the 
 program\, we will also publish Japanese Spring Fun Book in April. In May\,
  we will publish Japanese Summer Fun Book plus activity pack that includes
  templates for a game and craft making. These booklets and activity pack w
 ill all be free to download from our website\, and in May we&rsquo\;ll ope
 n online ordering if people want&nbsp\; to get hard copies of the three Ja
 panese Fun Books\, Spring\, Summer and Winter\, plus the activity pack!\n\
 nWe encourage you to invite your friends and family from across the countr
