DESCRIPTION:This exhibit marks the 30th Anniversary of the Puget Sound Sumi
  Artists. It highlights the artists' wide variety of styles\, from traditi
 onal to experimental\, as well as their creative use of sumi &nbsp\;in var
 ious techniques and forms.\n\nA reception is scheduled <strong>Saturday Oc
 tober 8\, 2016\, 1 - 4 pm</strong>. Light refreshments will be served thro
 ughout the afternoon. &nbsp\;Fumiko Kimura\, a cofounder of PSSA\, will pr
 esent merit awards. Member artists will offer free demonstrations of sumi 
 art\, including painting\, calligraphy\, sumi/collage\, haiga\, and other 
 art forms.\n\nPuget Sound Sumi Artists\, a regional group of about 80 arti
 sts\, was organized in\nTacoma in 1986 to promote the understanding and ap
 preciation of Asian brush &nbsp\;and ink art.&nbsp\;\n\n
