 /strong&gt;\n&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;Beginning in 1980\, the Japanese Ameri
 can Historical Society of Southern California (JAHSSC) presented their fir
 st public programs\, introducing many residents of the South Bay and the g
 reater Los Angeles area to Japanese American history and culture.\n\nAfter
  decades of great educational programming\, the JAHSSC is retiring as an o
 rganization with this final program. As we move forward\, we&#x27;ll take a loo
 k at a handful of the many initiatives and projects in the active Japanese
  American community through this program. It will feature a dynamic progra
 m of speakers\, video excerpts and a forward-thinking round table discussi
 on of 3 generations of community based educators\, activists and artists. 
 Join us and learn about some of the many projects\, networks and organizat
 ions to support as we grow into the future and extend our sense of communi
 ty engagement.\n\n&lt;strong&gt;Confirmed speakers include: Allan Aquino\, Evely
 n Yoshimura\, Glenn Omatsu\, Iku Kiriyama\, Karen Ishizuka\, Kristin Fukus
 hima\, Sean Miura\, Tad Nakamura\, and Traci Kato-Kiriyama.&lt;/strong&gt;\n&lt;str
 ong&gt;\n&lt;/strong&gt;
