  Encino\, California on Friday\, August 17 at Laemmle's Town Center 5 with
  a daily show at 1p.m. &nbsp\;The documentary short film\, produced by AAR
 P\, charts the 70-year struggle of Japanese-Americans who came of age duri
 ng World War II.\n\n&ldquo\;The Japanese-Americans of the Greatest Generat
 ion have so much to teach us about service\, sacrifice and dedication to A
 merican ideals\,&rdquo\; said director Stephen Menick. &ldquo\;I have been
  honored to meet some of the last of these heroic Americans.&rdquo\;\n\nNa
 rrated by George Takei\, &ldquo\;<strong>Honorable Journey</strong>&rdquo\
 ; features conflicts of loyalty to tradition\, family and country\, played
  out against the backdrop of world war. Eyewitnesses and descendants recou
 nt a lifelong journey from barbed wire\, battlefields and jail cells to vi
 ndication and the highest honors in the land. As World War Two veteran Sen
 ator Daniel Inouye (HI) says in the film\, &ldquo\;That&rsquo\;s one thing
  about democracy. You must be patient.&rdquo\;&nbsp\;\n\n&ldquo\;<strong>H
 onorable Journey</strong>&rdquo\; also features former U.S. Secretary of T
 ransportation Norman Mineta\; longtime veterans advocate Terry Shima\; vet
 eran and cell biologist Susumu Ito and his grandson\, Justin Ito-Adler\; l
 awyer Dale Minami\, who represented civil rights advocate Fred Korematsu\;
  and Lane Hirabayashi\, nephew of civil rights advocate Gordon Hirabayashi
