 n with Delphine Hirasuna\, author&nbsp\;of&nbsp\;<em>The&nbsp\;Art&nbsp\;o
 f&nbsp\;Gaman: Arts and Crafts&nbsp\;of&nbsp\;the&nbsp\;Japanese American 
 Internment Camps 1942-1946</em>. Ms. Hirasuna is also guest curator&nbsp\;
 of&nbsp\;"The&nbsp\;Art&nbsp\;ofGaman" exhibition\, which opens at&nbsp\;t
 he&nbsp\;Illinois&nbsp\;HolocaustMuseum &amp\; Education&nbsp\;Center&nbsp
 \;on September 25.\n&nbsp\;\nMs. Hirasuna will address&nbsp\;the&nbsp\;imp
 ortance&nbsp\;of&nbsp\;artistic expression among persons&nbsp\;of&nbsp\;Ja
 panese descent who were held in government-run "internment camps" during W
 orld War II. Using found and recycled materials\, these internees crafted 
 objects that served both creative and practical needs.Such historically si
 gnificant artifacts still may be found in&nbsp\;the&nbsp\;homes&nbsp\;of&n
 bsp\;families in&nbsp\;Chicago's Japanese American community today.\n&nbsp
