The festival is free for all with no entry fees. Japanese and American food will be available and there will be day-long entertainment featuring the pounding rhythms of Odaiko New England (Japanese drumming group). Martial arts, Japanese tea ceremony, and classical Japanese flute music will also be presented. There will be tours of the Manjiro Trail including the Whitfield-Manjiro Friendship House and the Old Stone School by old trolley bus.

The week-end festivities will close with the Friendship Dinner on Sunday night at the Unitarian Church. Adult tickets are $20, children $10. Those interested can contact any member of the Whitfield-Manjiro Friendship Society (formerly Sister City Committee) or call 508-995-1219.
