My Dad was a Nisei who was in the 442nd infantry. His war expereince afforded him with the GI Bill which resulted in him coming to Boston to get his MA. He met my mother, a French-Candian pyschiatric nurse and veteran in Boston. I'm the oldest of 3, growing up in the 50's-70's when biracial marriages were not as common as they are now. I'm here now reclaiming the fullness of my Asian identity.
